Dwellsol was founded in Santa Rosa, California by Joshua Carrell. I seek to incorporate the principles of sustainable design
into all of my projects, whether as the lead designer or as an environmental consultant/ LEED consultant.. I am firmly
committed to low impact design and construction that adds to the natural beauty of our community and contributes to
healthy living.

About Us
Josh Carrell, Owner/Architect
Josh Carrell earned a Bachelors degree in Architecture and Environmental Design from the
University of Minnesota and his Master of Architecture degree from the University of
Oregon, where he was a Graduate Teaching Fellow.
He is inspired by traditional planning and has an eye for modern details in design. He has
long been involved in custom woodwork and joinery.
He has worked since 1998 in various architectural positions from Minnesota to San
Francisco, including working for the past 4 years for firms in Sonoma County, including;
TLCD Architecture, Hedgpeth Architects, and AXIA Architects. He has worked on a variety
of project types including tenant improvements, commercial renovations, school projects,
multi-family residential, single family residences and high tech/ laboratory projects..
Josh is a LEED Accredited Professional with the US Green Building Council, and a member
of the Urban Land Institute's Young Leadership Group of San Francisco. He has been
licensed to practice architecture in California since 2007.
